I received this email in response to mine:
Hi Morgan,
It is an enriching and rewarding belief system and I'm sure many of your classmates would like to be introduced/kept informed. I would love to help you or give information about the Group for the show and for the town, but I am no longer President of the Tibetan Buddhist Study Group and I'm not sure if the group is still an entity. However, I can refer you to the website of the Athens KTC, the local Tibetan Buddhist center separate from the University Group, as it has an Athens agenda of events organized by the congregation. This site is http://athensktc.org/.
Contact me, Steven Kropf, or the Center with any questions you may have. Steven, our advisor, would be the go-to person and could introduce you to the current president and goings-on of the group.
If you're interested in meditating and studying Buddhism of the Tibetan lineage, the Athens KTC (on the East Side) meets Sundays at 10am. You're welcome anytime!
Best,
Leah
I had to come to Columbus this weekend, so I wasn't able to go to the Sunday meeting, but I'm going to ask if it's possible for me to meet with Steven in an interview about Tibetan Buddhism.
My second article may be a coverage of their worship time (which I would have liked to have done for my first article).
