It hit me today that I'd like to plug in with a Buddhist or Hindu group on campus - maybe because they seem the least westernized and therefore are unfamiliar to students.
I looked at the student life page and found Tibetan Buddhist Study Group. I emailed both the adviser and student listed, asking when they'll meet and whether I had their permission to respectfully observe and interview after the meeting. I'll post when I hear something back.
